Some words

Originally from the south-west of England, I moved to a remote valley in the Austrian Alps around ten years ago.
Living in such an isolated place for a decade has had a huge effect on my perception of reality - how I see the world, life, history, humans - robots! Tradition here is so palpable - change is frowned upon. In many areas hay is still cut with a scythe and raked by hand - bloody renditions of the tortured Jesus dying in pain decorate the mountain roadsides. All of this feeds into my understanding of the human condition - for better or for worse - and I can't help but be 'inspired' by this.
The contrast of this almost story-book existence with the internet and the push for a digital society is very much on my mind.
I suppose much of my work is my brain trying to quantify this - as if two worlds are colliding and somehow now, we face the Rubicon.
See the world as I do through this online art gallery dedicated to my landscape art and photography.
